With growing human influence, more forests and biodiverse habitats are destroyed to clear land for agriculture, dwellings and for industries. In turn, humans are coming in close contacts with wildlife and the various diseases and viruses they may carry. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that three out of every four new infectious diseases in people come from animals including SARS, H1N1, Covid-19 and even the increase in Malaria across the globe.
